TORRINGTON, Wyo. – Eastern Wyoming College (EWC) Volleyball announces the signing of Piper Halvorson, a dominant 6'3" pin hitter from Las Vegas, Nevada. Halvorson, a standout player from Arbor View High School, will bring her athleticism and competitive experience to the Lady Lancers for the Fall 2025 season.

Halvorson has had an impressive high school career, earning multiple accolades for her offensive prowess and contributions to her team's success. She was named Offensive Player of the Year, earned 2nd Team All-Conference honors in both her sophomore and senior years, and was a key part of her team's State Championship victory as a sophomore. She also received Honorable Mention All-State recognition in her senior year.

"We are extremely excited to welcome Piper to the Lancer family," said Head Volleyball Coach George Hamilton. "She is a powerful and versatile athlete who will add significant strength to our front row. Her ability to score and lead on the court makes her a valuable addition to our program, and we look forward to her contributions."

Halvorson plans to major in Exercise Science at EWC, drawn to the college's supportive community, strong athletic program, and welcoming environment.

"My first visit to EWC was amazing—I loved the town and the people I met," Halvorson said. "On my second visit, I knew it was the perfect place for me. Meeting the players and seeing how the team operated made my decision easy. The school impressed me, and Coach Hamilton was even more impressive. I am so excited to get started on my college journey at EWC. Go Lancers!"
