TORRINGTON, Wyo. — Eastern Wyoming College Volleyball welcomes Telia Fiatoa of Provo, Utah, to the Lancer Volleyball Team for the upcoming season.
Fiatoa, a defensive specialist/libero from Timpview High School, brings strong leadership, court awareness and a deep understanding of the game to the EWC program. Coming from a family with an extensive volleyball background, she has developed a high volleyball IQ and passion for competition at an early age.
Head volleyball coach George Hamilton said Fiatoa’s volleyball family legacy includes an aunt who competed as an Olympian and later coached in the Olympic Games, while her mother also serves as a volleyball coach.
“Telia comes from a tremendous volleyball background, and that experience shows in the way she sees the game,” Hamilton said. “She is a smart, disciplined player with strong defensive instincts, and we are excited to have her join our program.”
As a DS/L, Fiatoa is expected to make an immediate impact with her defensive consistency, communication and ability to lead from the back row. Her commitment to excellence both on and off the court makes her an outstanding addition to the Lancer Volleyball Team.
Fiatoa will begin her collegiate career at Eastern Wyoming College this fall as the Lancers continue building a competitive program in the Region IX conference.
