TORRINGTON, Wyo. — Eastern Wyoming College Volleyball welcomes Taryn Wimmer of Payson, Utah, to the Lancer Volleyball Team for the upcoming season.

Wimmer, an outside hitter and defensive specialist from Payson High School, joins the Lancers after earning all-state honors in Utah. Known for her athleticism, ball control and competitiveness, Wimmer is expected to make an immediate impact on the court for Eastern Wyoming College.

Despite her size, Wimmer plays above the net with an explosive vertical jump and relentless energy. Her versatility and defensive skills make her a valuable addition to the Lancers’ roster.

Head Volleyball Coach George Hamilton said Wimmer’s athletic ability and work ethic stood out throughout the recruiting process.

“Taryn is an outstanding athlete who competes at a very high level,” Hamilton said. “She is a great jumper, plays bigger than her size and has excellent ball control. We are excited to add someone with her talent and determination to our program.”

Wimmer will begin her collegiate volleyball career at Eastern Wyoming College this fall as the Lancers continue building a competitive program in Region IX.
